Introducing the New & Updated Vanessa and Allison: Sweet Pixel Photography

We really aren’t narcissists, we promise! But this post today is ALL about our faces as well as our babies! When Vanessa and I created Austin Moms Blog we started looking for appropriate photos to create our signatures, our home page, etc. What we quickly realized is that all of our “us” photos were totally old… from 2004! We knew immediately that we would need new photos to showcase the new, mature, somewhat older, post mommy US!

Having gone to high school with Stephanie Murray from Sweet Pixel Photography and having worked in property management with her later in life, I was fortunate to keep up with her and her company through Facebook. I’ve always admired her photography style and work as well as the fact that she’s a fellow mommy. I reached out to her and told her our plans and she was instantly sold and ready to shoot me and Vanessa with our little bundles specifically for the use for Austin Moms Blog.

Stephanie came to my house, which made the shoot so easy and convenient. I was a little worried in the beginning that our back drop wouldn’t be the right setting, but boy was I wrong! Stephanie truly has an eye for detail and made even the most boring cedar tree look fabulous. From start to finish our shoot was all of 1 hour, but we never felt rushed and the entire time we felt like we were just hanging out on a Saturday afternoon. We had so much fun creating our vision for our blog and having our first pictures as a team taken together. The kids weren’t exactly cooperating 100% of the time so my husband was bouncing up and down during the majority of the shoot trying to crack some smiles… so if you see the children looking beyond the camera, just imagine a grown 30 year old man sticking his tongue out, shaking his whole body, while running back and forth, and jumping every which direction… truly hysterical.

We couldn’t be more delighted with the finished product of our shoot and with our entire journey with Stephanie Murray of Sweet Pixel Photography. She was such a joy to work with and I know the Mack’s can’t wait to have our holiday photos taken by Stephanie.
