With Thanksgiving this week (how did THAT happen?!), its high time to prepare your Thanksgiving tables!  If you are like us and have a kids’ table, why not pay them a little extra special attention and make it festive AND practical? If you are on a time crunch, check out the adorable (and FREE) printable party here (http://amandaparkerandfamily.blogspot.com/2011/09/free-thanksgiving-kids-table-printables.html)  It was the easiest party to put together and looked adorable on both of my kids’ Thanksgiving Feast tables for their school!   The download has directions for assembling the pieces after you’ve printed them.

The materials you need, based on our execution of the party are:
-Cardstock
-Computer ink
-Scissors
-2” punch (I used a scalloped edge)
-Lollipop sticks (from the candy aisle at Hobby Lobby)
-Bamboo skewers (for the ship sails)
-Glue stick
-Scrapbook paper (2 sheets for each larger ship)
-Crinkle paper
-Styrofoam disc

Here are some pictures.

As a class gift, I printed one of the turkeys onto iron-on transfer paper and ironed them on to the aprons.  Easy and cute party favor!

We asked the teachers to have yellow butcher paper pre-set on the table so that the kids use their turkey crayons to decorate the table when they were finished eating.

Of course our menu was kid-friendly and Thanksgiving-approved…  Chicken nuggets, carrots & ranch, cornbread muffins, fruit salad and cheese sticks!

Enjoy and most of all, Happy Thanksgiving!!
