I’m genetically blessed with nice skin. My mom is in her mid-60s with nary a wrinkle in-sight. However, I did the same thing most teens in the 90s did: went sunscreen-free while tanning or, even worse, used a mixture of iodine and baby oil to get golden-brown.

If I knew then what I know now: Never. Go. Without. Sunscreen.

So I have a tiny bit of sun-damage to my face, in particular on my cheeks. Although my freckles were adorable when I was younger, now they age me. I’ve always prided myself on looking young for my age and I would like to keep it that way.

Enter Dr. Andrew Weil for Origins Mega-Bright serum. Wow. I’ve used other skin-correcting fluids before but this is the first time I’ve seen visible results and I’ve only been using it for three weeks. I wish I’d had the foresight to take before-and-after photos.

My skin has a smoother texture and the tone is definitely more even and brighter. Since I moved from a drier climate, my face has taken some time to adjust to the humidity. Mega-Bright has made the transition better because I can use it in place of a moisturizer on the days I feel greasier.

I’ve always kept a pretty simple skin-care regime and the thought of adding another step made me cringe. But using the serum just takes a few more seconds. Use it day and night after cleansing and before moisturizing.

The Origins website has all the details on the science behind the serum. I use a lot of Origins products and haven’t always had the promised-results. But the Mega-Bright delivers. It works way better than similar products by Bliss and Clinique and it doesn’t burn. The Bliss corrector made me feel like I was getting a chemical peel!

So give it a try and I’m sure you’ll agree it’s totally worth it!

Now if only I could find an eye cream that makes me look like I haven’t been up all night with a toddler who thinks sleep is for suckers…
