It’s time for the second installment of our series – Q & A with the special men in our lives. Today, my high school sweetheart husband, Brent, answers some questions to let you learn a little more about one of the men behind AMB. And if you missed Lisa’s interview, click here. There might be some commentary thrown in by yours truly…even in a blog setting I can’t help interrupting and throwing in my 2 cents! {Grin}

What was your reaction when you first learned you were going to be a daddy?

I was upset the process didn’t take longer. There were all these false promises of numerous sexual escapades, and none of it turned out to be true. The same thing happened with my second. Apparently, we’re the perfect match. [That’s really sweet…I think?]

What is one thing you could work on in your relationship with your wife?

If there was 1 thing I could do to keep her from complaining, I would do that. Your guess is as good as mine.

What has been the biggest surprise of fatherhood?

The biggest surprise is how fun it is. Even when you’re upset, it’s the best time of your life.

What is your biggest fear as you raise your children?

My biggest fear is losing my babies., but I think that’s true of every parent. After that, it’s that a poor decision will lead them to a consequence I cannot protect them from.

If money were no object, what do you think your wife would like as the ultimate appreciation gift?

As many children as she wanted. [Yup! And this instantly brought tears to my eyes.]

What’s your idea of a perfect family activity in Austin?

Anything outdoors.

What “pregnant woman” stereotype did your wife fit?

I don’t know of any, so I don’t think she fit any. I actually thought she was really great while pregnant. [This is very reassuring because I felt like I should have starred in an episode of ‘Snapped’ many times.]

If you could snap your fingers and talk to your pre-daddy self, what would you say?

[Trent was listening while we went over these questions, and his response to this question was ‘Boo!’ Love that kid.]

Sleep more now. Get as much sleep as possible because hospitals suck.

We hope you’re enjoying our Q&A sessions as much as we are!

Are there any questions you’d like to have the dads answer in the future?
