Happy Friday, y’all! It’s Fashion Friday!!!

The winter-spring transition can be a freeing moment. Wool gives way to cotton, black to beige (or better yet, peach), and boots to something strappy.

Typically, you have at least a few weeks of fashion limbo, when it’s too warm for a coat and too cool for a sundress. Kinda like today… Whoa weather, what happened? You’re cool today!

Here are my favorite ways to spring-up your winter wear.

Transitioning from Winter to Spring, Austin Moms Blog, Lisa Davis

You don’t need a heavy coat to keep warm during the in-between day; start the day with something lighter and peel off as the temps rise.

denim

Long sleeve denim shirts over a tank are my go-to layer.

yellow

Don’t put away those tights just yet. They work great when paired with a pop of color like this bright yellow skirt. It keeps your stems warm enough for the cooler temps but lets everyone know you’re gearing up for a bright spring season!

Leather leggings or skinny pants work the same as tights when mixed with a casual white tee. You can even add that pop of color with the tee or heels.

toms

Nothing says spring casual like a skinny pair of jeans and Toms. These lightweight footwear is the perfect balance between winter and early spring. And the hair is just a bonus!!

shorts

I’ve always always loved shorts with a long sleeve top or sweater. These tops are easy to remove with a great tank or tee underneath. Pair with short boots, Converse or even flip flops depending on the weather and you’re done!

What have I left off?? This is my favorite time of year so I would love to hear your thoughts and suggestions!!
