Navigating Austin School Districts, Austin Moms Blog

Hi, I’m Kristen! I am a wife and new mother, a real estate agent and a CPA (ranked in order of importance). After a long run in the corporate world, I decided to take a big risk and follow my heart by pursuing a career that would not only give me flexibility as a mother but also allow me to be doing a service for others. Here I am! Fortunately, the stars have all aligned so far. I get lots of good time with my little girl, and my business is growing far past anything I could have expected years ago. To ice the cake, I absolutely love what I do and am so happy to get out of bed every day knowing I can help people find a home that will make them happy for years.

Hi Austin Moms Blog!

One of the things I am asked about most from people is about school districts. Which ones are good? How do you know if they are good?  Where can I go to get information about all of them? While as a realtor, I am not allowed to “steer” anyone to or away from any particular district, I can provide people with the best tools for finding all the information they need related to the various school districts.

The Children At Risk organization is a non- profit in Houston that drives change for children through researcheducation, and influencing public policy. They focus educating legislators on the importance of children’s issues. Based on the data collected by the Children at Risk organizations; here are the top 3 ranked schools at each education level and in each district for Austin and surrounding areas. The first number after the listed school is the Austin ranking and the second number is the state ranking.
