A new year brings with it excitement, change, and the best part…fresh and creative trends!  Some trends come and go, some hang around for several seasons or years, and some are just so dang good they become a classic.  We’ve picked 10 of our favorite hottest trends for the year spanning fashion, home, beauty, hair, and more!

Check out these fab trends for 2015 and decide which ones you’d like to incorporate into your life!

1.  Entertaining:  We LOVE how popular deconstructed cakes have become!  They’re the go-to with parties, showers, and weddings!

2.  Color:  The Pantone color of the year is “Marsala“…which is the perfect shade of wine, burgundy, and crimson all rolled into one!  Add the color into your wardrobe, nail color, sofa pillows…pretty much with anything area of your life you please!

3.  Nail Color/Styles:  Obviously a shade of wine is always classic and definitely on trend this year (see above), but lace patterns are also a huge trend to try out.  Ask you manicurist for a little lace accent or DIY it at home by painting over some lace on your own!

4.  Accessories:  While there are tons of cute accessories to rock this year, our favorite new trend is estate earrings.  Take a look through your mother’s (or grandmother’s) jewelry box for statement multi-jeweled earrings…bonus points for a good story behind them!  This trend is great because it’s both a throw-back classic and a refreshing take on a simple, yet luxe-looking accessory.

5.  Home:  Remember the country blues in homes of the 80’s and 90’s?  Well people, the blues are back…But in a much more bold and sophisticated way.  This year, update your home by using deep blue tones and earthy metal accents (tons can be found at Target right now!).

6.  Kids Style:  Little girl and boy clothing can sometimes be the most fun for which to shop!  Finding kid clothes that mimic adult clothing is just the cutest, however this year, kid trends are pretty specific.  Be on the lookout for nautical and hippie inspired looks for the munchkins.

7.  Baby Names:  Oh the baby name trends…do you like the trendy or classic names?  For 2015, names that begin with an E or an F are the big thing.  This year, our top favorite up and coming names to look for are Grey (boy) and Fern (girl).  What are yours?

8.  Shoes:  For the ladies, shoe trends are the main event…#amiright?  A fun shoe trend this Spring/Summer are gladiator sandals…wearability and cutting edge style!  We love these from Rampage at under $40!

9.  Exercise:  With almost every exercise trend under the sun to have come, gone, and still be in rotation…we decided to declare neutral on this trend.  As women, why don’t we make it a trend to just try our best?  If we hit snooze instead of getting to the gym-that’s okay, we’ll try harder tomorrow.  If we drank more soda than water this week…be better next week.  It’s time we give ourselves a break as women.  We all pretty much know what’s best for us….healthy diet, active lifestyle, etc, so let’s just try our very best (whatever that make look like for each of us), rather than getting bent out of shape (literally and mentally) when we’re terrified to attend that new class at the gym, let’s just give ourselves a pass and set realistic exercise goals that we can achieve…or not.

10.  Hair:  Hair forecasters predict this year we’ll see a new shag ‘do become all the rage, as well as baby highlights on the rise and updos becoming more popular (as they already have been in Europe).  For some of us, 2015 might bring the heavily-weighted question of “to bang” or “not to bang”.

-Baby Bells:  A cute, lady-like, understated version of bell-bottoms.  We think THESE from Nordstrom hit the mark perfectly!

-HUGE Floral Print:  Florals are pretty much a “duh” for spring/summer style, but ginormous floral prints are going to be big this year.  Check out THESE floral wide-leg pants from Macy’s.

-Gingham:  Get your picnic panties on because the old table-cloth print is making a come-back!  We’re already seeing the trend in swimwear, (like THIS one at Target or THIS one from ModCloth), and of course in tons of cute color patterns in dresses and tops (especially this ASOS Gingham Dress on huge sale right now!).

-Fringe:  This hippie-chic look has been around a while, but trend forecasters predict it will show up in ALL areas of fashion.  On the fence?  Try out a classic leather shoulder bag accented with some fringe like THIS one from Neimans.
