UPDATE :: DATE CHANGE FOR ROCK + CHALK TO SUNDAY DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER!!!
The Domain will join forces with Orange Wall Collective and Spare the Rock, Spoil the Child to host Rock + Chalk, a free afternoon of family-friendly live music and activities on Saturday, March 22nd.
Children of all ages are invited to rock out and celebrate the arrival of spring from 3 to 7:30 p.m. on the newly completed lawn area in Domain II Plaza on March 22nd…THIS SUNDAY! Groundwork Music Orchestra will kick off the afternoon of springtime jams at 3 p.m., followed by Ralph’s World at 3:45 p.m. At 4:30 p.m. Elizabeth McQueen will perform, then Joe McDermott will take the stage at 5:15 p.m. Koo Koo Kanga Roo starts at 6:15. All music throughout the evening will be presented by Austin Diagnostic Clinic.
In addition to getting down and funky under the lawn’s new iconic cable overhead structure, kids will enjoy a chalk art zone presented by All Things Kids and other free activities throughout Domain II, including, music lessons, a musical instrument petting zoo, temporary tattoos, costumed character appearances, a dance contest with prizes, giveaways and more.
