Last month we had the opportunity to bring nearly 400 people together to honor the real heroes in our community. We were so grateful to spend a day with real-life local heroes at our latest family event, Hanging With Heroes. Tonight we just want to give a huge thank you to everyone who made the special event possible.

The rain held off just long enough for 0ver 300 guests to enjoy this free community event including heroes, local foods and community vendors. A big thank you to all who participated and to the Lake Travis service departments for making this event possible.

The Rough Hollow Community Center was the perfect venue to hang out with REAL Police, Firefighters and EMTs. Families of all ages explored fire trucks, ambulance and police vehicles and learned more about just how these amazing service men and women become our heroes.

Mr Will – Mr. Will, one of Austin’s most loved Kids Music Entertainment, preformed his collection of original and traditional children’s songs that had up tapping our toes, no matter what age! An in-demand natural showman who plays multiple instruments, Dupuy has a personality as big as his signature upright bass and as bright as his wide smile. We were just tickled that he was able to join the event to make it a real party.

Austin’s Traveling petting zoo, Tiny Tails To You, offered their adorable, interactive experience that combines petting and holding their lovable animals with learning facts about the animal breeds, traits, care, and handling.

Muscle Dystrophy Association – At MDA — the Muscular Dystrophy Association — their mission is to save and improve lives of people fighting muscle disease.
