Is your little one MIGHTY?
My boys are definitely mighty – and in more ways than one. They each have a mighty imagination and mighty curiosity, but they also have mighty tantrums and mighty dislikes. Speaking of dislikes, my oldest has a dislike for bananas served any way but squished in a bowl. Seriously – peeled, unpeeled, halved, cut into pieces, and whole are all unacceptable according to him. He dislikes non-squished bananas so much, that you would think his most beloved toy in the entire world was just lost … forever … and ever. Picture it (ears open): it’s loud and overwhelming. It’s most definitely mighty! On the other hand, the same little guy also has the sweetest, melt- your-heart, mighty love for his little brother, and recently showed mighty courage by walking up and introducing himself to another little boy. Now, you may be thinking that’s not a big deal, but for him, this one move was overcoming a mighty fear and showing mighty bravery. The mighty(s) come in all shapes, sizes, colors and volumes but their existence is constant in all kids.
A few months ago, a group of three local moms set out to bring a new style to kids’ clothing by creating Little & Mighty. Rachel, Amanda and Komal think ‘Little & Mighty’ should be every kid’s motto. It represents all kids; they are all little and they are all Mighty.
Little & Mighty is an online children’s clothing company that doesn’t just make clothes; they make clothing that inspires adventure. These moms want their apparel and hand drawn designs to encourage little ones to get out and explore the great big world. Well, mammas, I think it’s working! Just the other day, I was at the park and I turned around to hear a little girl yelling from the tippy top of a tree, “I IS MIGHTY!’. A few weeks ago, I was at the farmer’s market and my eye was caught by the cutest little boy wearing a radish shirt helping his mom carry bags. At the time, I thought ‘how cute and cool’ and now I realize it was a Little & Mighty design. Their shirts are fun, playful and easy to spot due to their uniqueness.
The designs are largely outdoor inspired and colorful. They are American made, feature hand drawn designs (by them) and are all screen printed locally here in town using eco-friendly, water based inks. Their screen printing selections eliminate the big plastic patch feeling you get in a lot of kid’s shirts and keep the shirts soft and breathable. Did I mention how cool it is that all these designs are hand drawn by them? In their current collection, you can get a hot air balloon, a snail, a bear cub, a bike, a toad and a penguin, to name a few. That is, if you can get past the one that reads ‘Little & MIGHTY’ or the one that reads ‘MIGHTY Love’ because yes and yes! ‘MIGHTY Love’ is one of my personal favorites – it speaks so much to why we mamas do what we do!
Their baby size range covers 3M – 24M and their little kid size range covers 2 – 6 currently. And get this: they also carry a hoodie that will transform your little one into a rawr’ing dinosaur in about two seconds flat. Now that is something we can all get on board with.
