The Perfect Day: A Visit to SpaSocial
What could be better than a spa day for a Mom? Relaxing and unwinding while getting pampered and polished are not everyday activities for most Moms I know. And even more infrequent is the idea of being pampered alongside one another! Time together with other Moms, without the kids, is precious and rare for me and most Moms I know. And that precious social and relaxing time is exactly what SpaSocial is here to help us finally enjoy!
SpaSocial is a beautiful, spacious and relaxing social spa located just a bit north of Austin in Round Rock, and it is absolutely heavenly. The building is just gorgeous, the massage and facial rooms are so pristine and relaxing and the nail salon and make-up area is inviting and adorable. Everything in the spa screams “relax” and it was just what this so-tired-at-the-end-of-the-week-Mom needed!
I was so excited and thankful to have the opportunity to go spend some time at SpaSocial recently and was surprised by how easy and convenient it was to get there. A lot of spas are tucked away far from the city, which is great in some ways, of course. But I found it so helpful that this was just off of the main drag in Round Rock, tucked behind the ever popular HEB on 620 shopping center.
The spa and parking lot was simple as ever to find, and upon entering the luxurious building, I felt like I entered a completely different world. I felt very VERY far from the HEB shopping center of suburbia I had just been in.
While enjoying a few of their “anti-social” services (only because I didn’t plan it far enough in advance or strategically enough to align with other Moms!), I was so impressed by how friendly and professional everyone at the spa was. I’ve never had a massage therapist or a nail professional who were so adept and cordial and pleasant to be around.
My facial was so incredibly refreshing and soothing, honestly, my face still feels incredible a few weeks later. Also, so do my toes from the awesome pedicure! The massage was unbelievably relaxing and while the effects of the massage are no longer with me necessarily, I can still remember what it was like to just clear my mind and let my body be pampered and relaxed , completely unreachable and uninterruptible. How dreamy is that?
As if all of that wasn’t enough, SpaSocial offers complimentary mimosas, wine, soft drinks and water to all guests, and they have a relaxation room for enjoying these beverages while waiting in-between (or before/after) services. The beautiful pool, sauna and dry room are also available for guests to stay and lounge in all day! Next time I will absolutely bring my bathing suit and plan to stay much much longer to savor the relaxation and enjoy the glorious privilege of actually getting into a bathing suit and going to a pool and a sauna by myself.
Spa parties, including 6 or more ladies at a time, are what this spa really specializes in, as noted by their name. Enjoying these spa services together would absolutely be a perfect way to celebrate kids being back at school this month, or could be a wonderful way to throw a baby shower, bridal shower, book club meeting, Moms Night Out, etc.
The spa also offers monthly memberships to the “SpaSocial” which offers regular services and exclusive invitations to private sales and events. I know I am looking forward to my next visit at SpaSocial and I hope to see you there!
