Hayley Hengst

Hello AMB readers! I’m Hayley. Wife to my high school sweetheart, Nason. Stay-at-home mom to three boys/angels/tyrants (primarily tyrants). Most days, I am very content in that role.  Other days, well, you know how it goes. I absolutely love writing for Austin Moms Blog. I also love: books, bubble baths, Mexican food, porch swings, and traveling. I hate: the hustle and bustle of trying to get out the door, on time, with all three of my kids. Seriously, I just kind of give up.

Celina Zamora-Torres

Hi ladies! I’m Celina, a mompreneur with two beautiful little girls, and the funniest most supportive hubby a girl like me could ask for.  A random laugh session, a full calendar, and a strong cup of coffee really fuel my spirit. Between building a new business, spending time with my tribe, and enjoying life’s little moments…I can’t help but feel incredibly blessed. Here is a little look into who I am, and one of my favorite AMB posts that I’ve written.

Courtney Weynand

Hello, Austin Moms Blog readers! I’m Courtney, a hopeless creative who is married to and head over heels for my husband Nicholas. We’re parents to two amazing children, Eisley (8) and Everett (6). I’ve been a stay-at-home for the past 8 years but recently started substitute teaching at my children’s school (in fact, if you’re looking for me you can often find me up at school volunteering). Making people laugh is one of those ‘feel good’ things that I can’t get enough of and I hope to bring a little bit of that to my writing here at AMB.

Steffany Duke

Hi I’m Steffany, a former journalist turned SAHM and Matilda Jane Trunk Keeper. My sweet husband, Derrick, and I chase around boy/girl twins, plus a bouncing baby girl. Our journey to parenthood wasn’t easy; and we’re learning to love the constant mess we live in and embrace every stage of these little lives, even age three! You can read about our adventures on our blog, Spit and Sparkles.

Alexis Edwards

Hi AMB readers! I’m Alexis, mama to two fuego babes, Rory (2012) and Rowan (2014), and wifey to a sexy fuego-bearded lumberjack named Ben. I’m a tiny human wrangler by day and an LCSW/doula-in-training by night. I survive on all the sarcasm and caffeine and ramble about my adventures in motherhood over at Mrs. Mombie. That’s mom + zombie cause negative sleep y’all. In my free time (ha!) I enjoy a lil vino and a lot of wine, especially if my mama tribe is involved. Cheers to keeping humans alive!

Catia Holm

Hey there! I’m Catia, a figuring it out as I go woman! (Aren’t we all?)  I’m 32 and love wine and cake and anything that is fitness and team oriented. I have one daughter (2014) and my husband, Anthony, is five-star!

I am an author, public speaker and life-coach. I am passionate about helping women feel connected and worthy! You can find encouragement and tactics for stepping into your greatness at Catia Holm.

Katie Legg

Hi Austin Moms Blog readers! I am Katie, a full-time working momma who somedays can’t get her head on straight. I am married to my partner in crime and high school sweetheart, Brian. Together we have Mason Jay, who joined in on the fun in 2012. When I am not dealing with the wonderful world of advertising or chasing my son around town, you’ll find me on the hunt for some old furniture to refinish or sipping prosecco with friends.

Stephanie Carlene Rubio Meza

Hey Austin Moms Blog readers! I’m Stephanie, a stay-at-home, homeschooling mama of 3 girls. When I’m not out with my girls or writing for AMB, you can find me over at, documenting our family life and adventures with a few crafty endeavors thrown in for good measure.

Katie Taylor

Oh hey, I’m Katie. Proud wife of Preston and momma to our sweet son, Wesley. I’m a born and raised Texan, but have spent time on the east coast while I partied, ehem, studied at Penn State and then lived in the D.C. area…  Finally in 2013 we made our way to our forever home, Austin. I’m a certified child life specialist turned work-from-home mom who loves working out and spending time with my family and best gals. My idea of heaven is sippin’ dirty martinis and listening to Taylor Swift (#noshame) on the beach in Destin, Florida.

Aimee Niebuhr

Hi, there! I’m Aimee, a homeschooling mama to three on a mission to always seek out the joy in this beautiful chaos called motherhood. My husband, James, makes me laugh like no other and is my biggest supporter. Together, we have two boys who are the best of friends, Phoenix (2009) and Theo (2012), and their sweet baby sister, Lyric (2015), who absolutely makes our family complete. In an effort to stay centered, I write about marriage, motherhood and all of the soul-searching that accompanies this season of life at MamaCentric.

Traci McClead

So you want to know about Traci and her momminess? Well I have 3 children, Grayson(18), Torrence(12), and Reagan(10). Keeping up with all of their activities while working full time in Special Education doesn’t leave much time for my awesome husband, he requested I write that,  and the 5 four legged babies that demand my time. I get by on insanity and caffeine, lots and lots of caffeine. When I escape, or forgo sleep, I dabble in the arts but most of the time I just poor myself into my writing. One day I’ll have more time for me but until then I hope you enjoy what I put in ink.

Amy Coons

Hi Austin Moms Blog readers! I’m Amy and the momma of three boys ages 9, 6 & 5. I do life with my best friend and husband, Jason, by my side. I am also a high school English teacher. Our lives stay very busy between all of the boys’ activities, so we try and squeeze in family time as much as possible! I love to keep everyone updated on what’s going on with our family through My Facebook page!

Andrea Michnik

Hi Austin Mamas! I’m Andrea Genevieve, a South Austinite with two wild, crazy kids Gabriel (2012) and Juniper (2014). I go between being a sometimes-work-from-home mom and full-time-stay-at-home-make-sure-the-kids-don’t-get-hurt-until-dad-gets-home kinda mom. We spend most of our time exploring Austin on “Field Trips” while savoring breakfast tacos and treats. I’m the founder of an online toddler boutique, HelloSunday where I sew comfy organic apparel on a 30-year-old sewing machine. Because I never know what I’m doing with my life, I also blog about motherhood, entrepreneurship and my own 2016 Happiness Project. Aside from my husband, I love champagne, sunsets and barre!

Rachel Campbell

Hi Austin! I’m Rachel. Mommy to a sassy little boy with a Mohawk and on a mission to inspire moms everywhere to live their best lives in their best selves. Lover of all things bubbly; champagne, kombucha, topo Chico, baths and personalities.

On a typical day you’ll find me running town lake with my boy in the stroller or sneaking spinach into his smoothie at Juiceland.

Cristina Reyna-Neel

Hola, mamas! I’m a tech writer, foodie and bonus mom who hails from deep south Texas. As a newlywed who welcomed an instant family, my posts often highlight my adventures in co-parenting a pair of twin boys with a positive focus on blended families. I also love to write about girls’ education and empowerment, food, travel and Hispanic culture. My talents include movie-themed snack-making, volunteering and overthinking. Find me on Twitter @cristinareyna or follow our funny kids’ quotes on Instagram @The_Little_Boys_Club.

Heather Granato

Hi AMB readers! I’m Heather, lover of queso and all things Austin. I am married to my best friend, Dominick, and we have two beautiful kiddos, Brooklyn (7) and Ty (5). I’m a VP at a software company, CSID, embracing the challenges that come with my busy schedule and being a mom. I’m a big fan of travel, a good book, cooking, a good workout, trying new restaurants, friends, family, wine, owning shoes, and people that make me laugh. Life is good, soaking it all up.

Ilyse Kennedy

My name is Ilyse Kaplan. I am mama to 10 month old Camilla June. I live with my baby, husband, two dogs, and three chickens in South Austin. I’m a graduate student seeking my master’s in counseling and I work part-time while balancing motherhood. I’ve written for publications in the past including Variety and Ladygunn but am excited to add “mommy blogger” to my repertoire. When I’m not mothering, studying, writing, or cleaning up the chicken coop, you can find me “unwinding” with bad reality television (preferably from The Real Housewives or Kardashian franchise) and a deep red wine, or checking out a band that is no longer relevant with my musician husband. You can find more of my ramblings on motherhood and mental health at Rise Colored Glasses

Heather Taylor

Hey y’all!  I am Heather and the mom of 4 awesome kiddos 2 girls (15 & 1) and 2 boys (12 & 11). Yep, you read that right and yes, #4 was totally planned! I am married to James who is my polar opposite. Together we make an amazing team to keep this crazy brood inline. I work full-time outside the home but on weekends you can find me screaming way too loud for one of my kiddos from the sidelines while my hubby quietly observes my antics from afar. Although I have been doing this mom thing for a while now I know I still have so much to learn. I am super excited to take you, the readers of AMB along on my journey.

Kaitlyn Motley

Hi Austin Moms Blog readers! I’m Kaitlyn, a busy working first time momma trying to navigate this whole new chapter. I am married to an amazingly supportive man, Devin, and we have a newborn named Teagan (2015). We also have two fur babies, a dog and a cat, which add to the awesome chaos that is now home. I work in mental health services for the state and love being able to help those in need. We are new to Austin and love it! In our spare time, we love to hike, watch football (is it fall yet?), and explore this new city.

I love spending time with my boys, creating inquiry based learning units, and blogging about cooking, motherhood, marriage, and womanhood here and at

Krista Hager

Heya! My name is Krista.  For me, a perfect morning begins with a steady concoction of dancing (picture old school rap mix dance style) with my one-year old daughter, strong coffee, and a little bit of chocolate, and a splendid night ends with a sweet slow dance (country dance style) with my two-foot copilot and my sweet husband, another bite of chocolate, and little bit of red wine.  Blessed to work from home part time as an editor and grant writer for a nonprofit, right now my days are filled with writing, boot camp workouts, animals, nature, chasing a very mobile daughter, and growing her baby brother.

Leah Gibson

Hello, Austin Moms Blog Readers! I’m Leah, a stay-at-home mom to three boys –Henry (’10), Sam (’11), and Jack (‘14) and a wife to my best friend, Matt. Lindsey Wiese

Hi AMB, I’m Lindsey:  Christian. Proud Texan. Wife to Ryan & Mama to Alexandra. When I’m not off traveling, in a barre workout class, or cooking dinner (ready at 6:30 sharp, don’t mess with my schedule!), I blog about mom-friendly fashion, beauty products, and my motherhood journey at Blog Joie de Vivre

Alfa Sengupta

Hi there Austin Moms Blog readers! I’m Alfa, a full time SAHM married to my love, Rudy. We have two littles that keep us on our toes daily, Aria (2.5) and Rishi (1)! They are eighteen months apart, and never give me a chance to sit or finish a cup of coffee which is my love language. I’m a full time blogger as well, and I run my own small biz on Etsy. When you actually find me sitting, more than likely, I’m on my second or third cup of coffee, reading a book, painting, cooking, or doing DIY stuff for the house because I love crafting and creating things for our home!
