Meet Our Executive Team

Austin Moms Blog is made up of a team of 40 blogging mamas, but our Executive Team is the driving force behind events, sponsorships, giveaways, tweets, status updates, emails, and all things that make Austin Moms Blog go round!

Allison Mack

Owner & Co-founder

Allison is the Co-founder and Owner of Austin Moms Blog and has lived in the Capital of Texas her entire life. She has a degree in English from The University of Texas-Austin {Hook ‘Em}. A former advertising executive and media planner, Allison spent much of her career executing creative advertising campaigns for her clients.

While celebrating Labor Day in 2007 with friends, Allison met Wesley – handsome, confident, and eager to make Allison his bride.

Allison has never been conventional so it’s only fitting that she and Wesley started their family before becoming husband and wife. In July 2010, Lincoln, was born. By June 2011, Allison added “wife” to her resume. In March 2013, their family grew with the addition of Townsend and in April 2016, they added baby girl, Larkin to the mix. Allison now juggles the complexities of being a work from home mom of 3. She loves conquering anything DIY or Annie Sloan Chalk Paint, Boxed Wine, Sushi, and finding new projects for her husband to complete… oh and of course, writing.

Lydia Hekman

Sales Manager

Hi Austin Moms Blog readers! I’m Lydia, a mom of two, {part-time} work-from-home-Mom and wife to Scott. I spend most of my days with my kids, Violet (born in 2012) and Ezra (2014) and I really enjoy hanging out with other Moms while I’m at it.

I love: Jesus, church, friends, Austin, eating out, all things pumpkin and/or goat cheese, breastfeeding, baby-wearing, Lake Michigan, yoga, hiking, and spending good quality time with my family.

I can’t stand: Being in the hot sun, raw garlic, traffic, arrogance, poor customer service, deep fried food, big bugs or snakes

Hi fellow baby mamas! My name is Ariel Zarate-Carmona and I’m 33 with two daughters ages 2 and 5.  My kiddos are awesome and send me into fits of giggles often! I have been married to Michael, the love of my life, for 8 years but together 14.  I own my own business, Hermanas Event & Wedding Consulting Services and split by time between corporate clients and brides.  I’m a bit obsessed with traveling and romance novels and love a good party!

Erin Ruoff

Social Media Coordinator

Erin’s motto is: “Love who you are.”  She is passionate about her not-so-perfect life, family, business and home. She a “home-grown” Texan but loves the mountains of New Mexico and the beaches Caribbean. Her and her husband have plans to live in the Virgin Islands one day. (They’ll never leave Austin, though…) She loves doing life on the outskirts of Austin with her husband, Chris, new baby, Crosson and dog Haley. Her dreams of a happy life have come true – a wonderful husband, beautiful home and chunky, little baby boy.

You might find her walking the stroller down So. Co. or playing with her pup out at Jester King Brewery. Her summers are spent at the lake (total lake rat) and during the spring and fall you’ll find her “junking” at Round Top. She’s a crafty lady thanks to her mama’s genes and loves a good Pinterest party!

Erin also writes a lifestyle blog Hi Lovely. There she posts favorite photo shoots, crafty projects, outfit posts, recipes, and rambles about her life when she has time. Online stores and Kendra Scott are her favorite places to shop, and most of her “down time” is spent hanging with her boys, exploring Austin, taking way too many pictures and creating yummy Pinterest dishes.
