Show the teachers some love!

Teacher Appreciation Week is May 7-11….what are you doing for your kids teachers? My kids have been extremely blessed with amazing teachers that my boys, husband, and I LOVE {with the exception of one which I won’t discuss}. I make a point to spoil my kid’s teachers through out the year to let them know just how special they are to us and how much we appreciate everything they do. Teachers are amazing people and I don’t know how they do their job every day…I am glad it isn’t me that does it! {never mind that I was close to getting my degree in teaching….oh my oldest son came along at the perfect time, he saved me HA}

Our school has a planned out schedule for the week ranging in things like bringing in a homemade card, wearing the teacher’s favorite color, bringing in their favorite treat and flower, etc. I have my boys take in something each day to their teachers that week. I want to share some of the things I am doing and have done in the past. I have no idea where I got some of these ideas from, but you can find them now all over Pinterest!

**Note…I didn’t include directions for each craft because they are all so simple and self explanatory with the pics. If you have questions though please let me know!***

Festive Clothes Pins

All supplies are from Hobby Lobby and I got it all 50% off.

Clothes pins 2 packs of 12 $2.99

3 packs of flowers for decoration $6.99

rhinestones for decoration $2.99

Total cost with tax it came out to $0.58 per clothes pin!

“Thanks for making me a Smartie”

jar $1.50 {regular price $2.99}

Smartie candy $1.98

I already had the scrapbook paper and tulle

Total cost $ 3.60 per finished jar

“I’m a Sharpie thanks to you”

pack of 25 Sharpies from Target $16 (I could have probably shopped around but didn’t have time or patience)

I already had the tulle and paper

Total cost for each set of 5 sharpies $3.46 {I only needed 4 sets, so I got to keep the others}

“I appreciate you helping me be a smart cookie!”

jar $2.50 {regular price $4.99}

I already had the twine and paper

I am making homemade cookies the night before we hand these out

Total cost per jar is just $2.70…would be a little more if you add in the cost of the cookies

I used the old school style candy jars that stand upright or tilt

“Thanks a ‘latte’ for all you do”

Starbuck’s gift card $5

Cup & lid were free {as they should be}

I had the twine and paper

Brown tissue paper {I already had white} $0.99

Total cost per treat {I made 4} $5.25

These are a few of my favorite treats to make my boy’s teachers feel extra special….now go get crafty and spoil some teachers! They deserve some love.
