Starting With Fashion For You:

Leg warmers were a fashion statement back in the 80’s when Flashdance was a hit. Now in 2012, they look the same but aren’t worn with a leotard, cropped top and tights. Instead, they’re being paired with boots of all heights.

Some ankle boots are more feminine than others, some of them are more sporty-looking, but there is no doubt that ankle-high boots are going to be one of the major fall 2012 fashion trends. I particularly like how ankle boots are worn with leg warmers; it gives somewhat sporty and casual feel to the outfit.

My personal favorite is knee high boots with leg warmers and skinny jeans. Jeans are pretty casual anyway so, for me, the leg warmers add a special extra touch to your boots. This same concept can be worn with tights and a tunic and even shorts. It’s a very versatile pairing with the knee high boots.

Leg warmers come in a variety of styles and colors. I’ve bought a few of my favorites and free people.com. But I also found some at nordstrom.com. I bought my daughter a couple of leg warmers to pair with her Uggs and they look adorable with leggings. I purchased them at Target. So pretty much every department store has them because they are pretty hot right now. So spice up your winter boots with some colorful leg warmers. Trust me, you will get tons of compliments! Happy shopping!

Looking for some fabulous non-slip clips for your daughter?

Ending With Fashion For Your Daughter:

With all the choices of accessories to put in your little girls locks, how do you choose what will actually stay in her hair and which ones she won’t tear apart? As the mother to a five year old daughter, I have been putting bows in her hair since she sprouted her first strands. I have bought bows from Gymboree, no-name bows in a kiosk at the mall, but I was given the privilege to try out Ribbies Clippies by Kim Marable. She sent several adorable samples and claimed they were “no-slip” clips. I was eager to try anything claiming to be non-slip but up to this point haven’t had much luck with my daughter’s thick, but fine long hair. They always manage to slowly slide down which drives both of us crazy! Me because it looks sloppy and her because it gets in the way of keeping up with her over-active older brother.

We tried all the samples we were sent. She wore them to school, to the movies and out to ride her bike. Amazingly, they stayed in her hair during all rambunctious activities my sweet girl got herself into! I was pleasantly surprised and she was happy with the different ribbons adorning the clips! So if your daughter has a lot of hair and whether its fine or thick, these clips will please both mom and daughter!
