The other night, a friend and I were treated to a fantastic dinner at Longhorn Steakhouse.  We went to the Sunset Valley location, where the store Managing Partner (GM) Paul Bedeski showed us what a true dining experience is.  To the extreme pleasure of my taste buds, we tried all sorts of food, but I think my favorites were the Wild West Shrimp (app), the White Cheddar Stuffed Mushrooms (app), the Napa Grilled Chicken, and the Salted Caramel dessert…oh the goodness.  One thing I didn’t try but plan to when I go back is the White Cheddar & Bacon Stuffed Filet…is your mouth watering yet?

Having previously worked in the restaurant industry, I was impressed with the care and attention to detail they take when preparing food.  They truly spend the time to make each one of their menu items….even down to a simple sauce or dressing…the best quality possible.  Paul runs a superb restaurant as evidenced by his refreshingly passionate attitude on all things Longhorn Steakhouse.  You can tell it’s like a second child to him.

This next Tuesday, April 2 is International Children’s Book Day, and Longhorn Steakhouse is accepting book donations on behalf of The Boys and Girls Club of America (one of Longhorn Steakhouse’s national charity partners).  If guests bring in a children’s book, for kids ages 5-12, on Tuesday April 2, they can get a free kids’ meal from the kid’s menu with the purchase of one adult entrée. All books collected will be donated to local Boys & Girls Club so that the Boys & Girls Club can fill up its library area for the kids.

What a great opportunity to not only give back, but to get free kids meals!!!  I took home several kids menus and they don’t disappoint.  This would be especially great for my family….hello four kids!!!

I want to thank Mr. Paul Bedeski and Longhorn Steakhouse for such a wonderful and educational dining experience.  I can’t wait to take my family back with me!!!  Make your next meal (lunch or dinner….or whenever you have the most room leftover for dessert) at Longhorn Steakhouse!
