Summer has come to an end it is always such a bittersweet time for me. I absolutely LOVE having all of my babes home with me for the summer and we have packed in all of the fun we can handle for one summer! This is the first summer that I am exhausted at the end. We have camped and vacationed and camped some more…and still another trip next weekend. I treasure these times with my kiddos like nobody’s business, but my lovely type A personality is very much ready for some routine and structure.
There are a few things I am excited about now that school started today:
- {As previously mentioned} Routine and structure – even though I DESPISE getting up early
- Love having my special time with my firey 4 year old
- Very much love my alone time while that firey 4 year old is at Mother’s Day Out 2 days a week
- Flag football starts soon and that is a 1st for us…we have always been a baseball family, I love a new adventure!
- Day dates with the Hubs while the kiddos are at school
- Grocery store with 1 kiddo instead of 3
- Easier to keep the house picked up and meal prep
- Watching my boys grow and learn through a new school year
- Getting to be room mom x2, plus this year I am workroom coordinator {I love me some laminating HA}
I am going to miss my sweet boys, but they need the routine back too. Excitement is in the air….1st day outfits, lunches, pictures galore, gifts for teachers….ya know, the usual. Let’s do this!
