Everyone loves to get something in the mail, right? Of course! That’s why there are subscription services for shoes, wine, meals, and more. When I first learned of Little Pnuts and I knew that it combined the love of mail with imaginative play, I knew it was something my daughter needed.

What is it? Little Pnuts is a subscription toy company that aims to put high-quality children’s toys in the hands of the most precious person in your life. The subscription costs $25/month and in turn the subscriber’s child receives a quarterly shipment of 3-5 toys that’s worth its value for the reaction alone!

How does it work? Well, you first subscribe. Then you get to answer a few questions about your little one(s) so that they know what to send. Once you do that, you just sit back, relax, and wait for your first shipment.

The package. The first thing I noticed was that the package was addressed to Caroline. She’s at an age where she recognizes her name  (and the letter C like crazy!) and so she felt very special with that. Secondly, the package was great. Caroline dug into her mail to discover (a City Moms Blog post card!) an assortment of age-appropriate toys. I was personally surprised by the sheer number and value of the shipment. As mentioned above, I have subscribed to a number of “box services” in my time and I was incredibly pleased with the quality and quantity of our Little Pnuts box o’ goodies.

I was so excited to see a City Moms Blog postcard in the shipment. Yes, I was made aware of the partnership between City Moms Blog and Little Pnuts, but having been part of CMBN for nearly three years (four if you could my sole bloggin’ days) brought a giant smile to my face. City Moms Blog (and Austin Moms Blog, of course!) offers something for ALL moms and I’m glad to see amazing companies like Little Pnuts working alongside them to provide resources and products to mamas all over the world.

The verdict: Two incredible thumbs up. My life has felt very “If-it’s-not-a-princess-toy-don’t-even-bother” lately and it was thrilling to see Caroline light up with joy for toys that stimulated her mind more than my wallet. She has a great imagination and {not that I’m knocking singing Let it Go loud enough for the neighbors to hear on a weekly basis} putting toys that enable that creativity in her hands…literally…it nothing short of genius.
