Like most moms, I have what seems like millions of photos stored on my computer, phone, and don’t even get me started on my social media.

My Facebook account alone stores hundreds of pictures dating back to when my first daughter was a baby (she’s now almost nine).  To be honest, it’s quite overwhelming to even wrap my brain around all the family events, milestones, and daily activities journaled through my picture taking.  How could I ever get them all organized and in one meaningful place online?

^^^ My One Day Timeline all organized in perfect chronological order! ^^^

Well, luckily OneDay answers that daunting question for me today, rather than some intangible time in the future.  In a few simple clicks of my mouse, I was able to import ALL of my photos and have them categorized for me!  Not having to recall when each photo was taken or how old a child was at that particular time, etc…..was huge!  I created an account with OneDay and am starting to explore all the vast options they have to offer.  Some of my favorite features are the capsules and vaults.  The capsules are pictures/videos preserved for your children with your own words of wisdom, lessons learned, funny stories, or just a simple I love you.  They’re stored in a “vault” for a later, designated date to be delivered to your children.  I currently send emails to my children through an email account for which they’ll get the password when they turn sixteen, so this capsule concept adds even another dimension to that future communication.  I hope our children will cherish these in years to come.

I also wanted to share some exciting news!  Later this month, Austin Moms Blog will accompany OneDay to the hugely popular BlogHer conference as an ambassador for them as they launch their new OneDay app.  This app will provide everything a mom wants in terms of chronicling her children’s lives in a daily, video-based method easily accessible from one’s phone.  The app will offer creative prompts and questions to ask your children each day and then will compile them all into sharable videos.  I can’t wait to try it out!!!!  What a wonderful way to capture the day-to-day moments of our children’s lives.  We will be sharing the experience on all AMB social media, so make sure to stay connected and follow along with the fun!
