We all know that there are a TON of options when it comes to getting dressed for the gym. You can find great choices at Target and expensive choices like Lululemon. But since the topic is Lulu… I’ll stick to that 🙂

I’M OBSESSED WITH LULULEMON!!!

My infatuation began a few years ago when my sister practically bought their entire store and I would go to her closet and see a plethora of skort options hanging in her closet. Aspiring to be like Big Sis, my addiction was born.

Pants start at $78 and go way up from there {over $100}. Sports Bras are $42 +. With that said, my best friend tries to squeeze it out of me that I only like Lulu, because of their price and notoriety; however that seriously couldn’t be farther from the truth.

So here are just a FEW of the reasons why Lululemon is 100% worth every.single.penny.

  • Durability: If washed and cared for correctly, Lululemon will last a very very very long time. I wear all of my items several times before they ever get washed. They are only washed in cold and then hang dried.
  • Versatility: Lululemon is the only workout attire that I know of where you can pair it with sneakers to run in, flip flops to go to Yoga or Barre3, or heels for a night out, or boots for a winters day. Their clothes are designed for not just working out in. They are truly fashionable and can be worn to actually work out in or not.
  • Quality: The quality of Lululemon is genuinely different from that of other athletic brands. You can tell the moment you put them on. The pants are thick enough to cover flaws, but at the same time, breathable so you don’t overheat. They are tight enough to give you a sleeker look, but won’t suffocate you. Sports bras have a sexy back, but still have tons of support. Some of their bras are also designed to give you cleavage if you need some umph in that department {I certainly do}. Their tops are stylish and conceal any imperfections you may be working on post-baby.
  • Aesthetics: They just look good. Simply put. A girlfriend of mine thought there was no way that Lulu would look good on her. She feared the pants would show her backside imperfections. She’s now the proud owner of at least 3 or 4 pairs! And even the pregnant moms still sport their Lulu at Barre3! Seriously, you will feel like a better YOU the second you slip into some Lulu.
  • Value: Yes, Lululemon definitely comes with a higher price tag, but they seriously hold their value so you can sell them later! Check on eBay if you don’t believe me.

I know they kind of got themselves into some hot water with comments made from their CEO way back when, but I’ve forgiven them. Now I just need to get a handle on my Lululemon addiction, but given that I work out all week long, chase kids around, and go to baseball games, I kind of feel like this is my “work” attire.

So what do you think? Would you pay the sticker price of Lululemon for workout gear?
