PATRIOTIC CRAFTS-2

July 4th will be here before we know it, and along with fireworks, cooking out, and celebrating all that makes ‘Merica shine, this mama wants to get a little crafting in! I’ve scoured Pinterest for some of the most adorable crafts and recipes for you to make the holiday extra special this year.

Crafts for the Kiddos

Patriotic Wands: These are perfect for your little ones to wave at your local parade. The options for ribbons and colors are endless.

Deck the Halls

Rag Ribbon Garland: Y’all, I am a sucker for a cute garland or bunting. Why should Christmas get all the garland fun? Deck your halls (and entryways, and mantles) with this super cute and easy to make rag ribbon garland.

Festive Yarn Wreath: I’m a crocheter and have loads of yarn lying around the house in bins just waiting to be used. These adorable yarn wreaths are a great way to use up some of your stash!

Burlap Star: There is something so inherently patriotic and rustic about this sweet and simple burlap craft. Plus, the big “lone” star screams TEXAS to boot. 🙂 I’m totally making this one. Fingers crossed for a Pinterest Win.

DIY Handprint Tee: Perfect for each member of your family! All you need are white tees (or onesies), some fabric paint, a brush, and your hand! I spy a super cute family photo op!

Toddler Tutu: I don’t know if there is anything cuter than chubby toddler thighs poking out of a tulle tutu! Bonus if it has patriotic flair! Once you get the hang of making these for your little one, you may want to scale up and make one for mommy too!

No Sew 4th of July Tank: I love this tank, and REALLY love that it requires absolutely no sewing. Celebrate your right to bear arms and show off your guns mama!

Firecracker Dogs: If you’re hosting a crew of hungry kids this 4th of July, these are sure to be a crowd pleaser.

Red, White & Blue Salsa: Healthy, fresh, and full of yummy antioxidants; this fruit salsa is sure to be the star of your buffet!

Strawberry & Blueberry Yogurt Pops: Love these yogurt pops on their wooden spoons. Perfect for little hands! While I love looking at all the beautiful flag cakes and trifles on Pinterest, I know the amount of time and work that go into them for them to be dismantled into a mess in minutes (especially with toddlers in the mix!) P.S. remember the trifle catastrophe on Friends?

Wishing you all a safe and happy 4th of July with your loved ones. Bust out the glitter and glue gun and get crafty, mamas!
