Kids (out) Grow SO fast.  What do you do with all that stuff?! We found a solution that will make you money, help the community and keep our landfills cleaner! It’s called Just Between Friends, a HUGE bi-annual kid’s consignment sales event. There’s almost 150 of these events nationwide, and North Austin / Pflugerville is home to one of the big ones coming up March 31-April 1st!

 

Here’s how it works. You’ll prep and tag your gently used items, drop them off before the event, and they sell them for you by setting up a pop up shop and inviting the public to shop! You can sell almost anything related to raising a child from Maternity all the way to teen (clothes, toys, shoes, strollers, furniture, etc.)

 

Selling your outgrown items could give you extra cash to buy the next 6 months worth of goods…. or save up for that summer vacay. You’ll earn WAY more than regular consignment with JBF at a super high pay out of 60%-70% on sold items! In fact, their average payout is right around $300 cash!

 

 

The best part is their partnership with local charity, The Settlement Home for Children. Consignors can choose whether to donate anything that doesn’t sell, and at the end of the event, The Settlement Home is handed thousands of dollars worth of quality goods to use in their foster and adoption program for those in need.

 

At JBF Austin North, thousands of toys, clothes, shoes, and even furniture are up for grabs at 50%-90% off retail. This is no garage sale, folks. All the items that come in are inspected for quality and safety, so keep that in mind when tagging! No rips, holes or over wear. 

 

 

The events are coordinated by a local mother daughter duo and brought to life by volunteers. Those volunteers are made up of their consignors who earn a higher percentage on their sold items for helping out. Plus, it’s a great way to meet other awesome parents, support the community, and promote a sustainable lifestyle. Every event is like a family reunion they say, and anyone is welcome to join the crew! 

 

Of course, if you don’t have time, it’s not mandatory to volunteer. In fact, if you REALLY don’t have time, they are even offering a valet consigning program, where you’re assigned a valet tagger to prep, price, tag and transport  your items to the sale for you! That’s right. You just give them your stuff and they send you a check! Valet is only available until March 15th, so act fast! Otherwise, you’ll have till the sale date to get everything ready- that’s plenty of time!
