The theme of the event is “Out of This World” and as such, children will have the chance to create lunar volcanoes, make mini-constellations, a virobot scribble machine, marble run and build cardboard derby cars among other projects. The event will also feature a photo booth and light, space-themed snacks and refreshments, or Moon Pies and Rocket Fuel.

According to the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), exposure to STEM during early childhood is critical to establishing an optimal educational trajectory. Kiddie Academy of Round Rock hopes to enable young learners to explore their curiosities and interests, while developing and testing theories, in everyday situations that combine learning with fun—a key component to Kiddie Academy’s Life Essentials® curriculum.

The STEM Adventures event will be held from 10 a.m. to noon at Kiddie Academy of Round Rock, located at 5080 North AW Grimes Boulevard.
