Saturdays, April 7, 14, and 21 :: Saturday Night Concert Series

Hill Country Galleria is hosting their signature Saturday Night Concert Series every Saturday in April (except April 28), with music starting at 7 p.m. in the Central Plaza. Sit back, relax and enjoy this free event with family and friends. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets or chairs to lounge on the grassy lawn during the show and arrive early to shop and dine at Hill Country Galleria retailers and even get their meal delivered straight to the Central Plaza. Swag bags filled with fun items and discounts will be available throughout the event, as well as face painting under the Central Plaza Pavilion. Sun Radio 100.1FM will be on-site to emcee the event to introduce guests to the band.

April 14 :: IRON MAN 10th Anniversary Screening at Stunt Ranch Cinema

Stunt Ranch Cinema is an all-new Alamo Drafthouse Rolling Roadshow series featuring your favorite action movies screened outdoors, with massive explosions happening all around you whenever there’s a fireball on screen. Come out early, and before the movie you can live out your stunt performer dreams by jumping off high fall platforms, ziplining across the fire lake, chucking a hatchet, testing your limits on the obstacle course, and more. Located at Stunt Ranch, 13317 Fitzhugh Road. The vent goes from 6:30 PM – 11:15 PM.

April 15 :: Food Truck Festival

At Barton Creek Mall from 10AM-7PM, they will be assisting the Aspire To Be Foundation & Caritas Austin in their mission to assist with feeding and providing wrap-around services to less-fortunate folks of Austin! Tickets are $9-$20.

April 21 :: Bloom for New & Expecting Parents

This Austin Moms Blog event will consist of amazing vendors who provide services or make products geared specifically to making motherhood, pregnancy and the first year of life easier and better. The morning will consist of breakfast & lunch, table vendors providing information that you can speak with one-on-one, an expert set of parenting speakers, unbelievable swag bags and more!

April 21 :: Kids Obstacle Challenge 

Kids Obstacle Challenge is an adventure and obstacle course event series for kids ages 5-16, with 12-15 fun and challenging obstacles and lots of mud!

April 21 :: Daddy/Daughter Hairdo Class

Urban Betty is offering a Daddy/Daughter boot camp class. It is a class for the everyday Daddy to learn how to style their daughter’s hair. The  1.5-hour class teaches participants the basics of hair care for their daughter. From 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM, dads will learn the proper way to cleanse, condition, & detangle their daughter’s hair, how to do a basic pony, how to do a simple bun.

April 25 – 29 :: Disney On Ice presents Reach for the Stars

Join Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck and Goofy set the stage for a star-studded talent extravaganza as Disney On Ice presents Reach For The Stars. Royal sisters Anna and Elsa, mermaid, spirited Rapunzel, and daring Belle take center stage for a dazzling skating spectacle.

April 28 :: Eeyores’s Birthday

The last Saturday of April marks one of the longest running free events in Austin: Eeyore’s Birthday Party. Not only is Eeyore’s Birthday free, but it also helps raise money for local non-profits.

April 28 :: SPRINGFEST

The Lake Travis Chamber of Commerce will bring SpringFest back to the Hill Country Galleria on Saturday, April 28 from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. Presented by St. David’s Emergency Center, SpringFest will be a full-day community festival filled with shopping, food, music and fun for the whole family. SpringFest kicks off at 11 a.m. with unique shopping vendors, a KidZone the size of a football field, kid’s performances and live music in the Central Plaza, a Boat Expo, and tasty craft beers and Texas wines in the BrewHaus and WineStomp.

April 30 – May 7 :: Austin Symphony Young People’s Concerts

The Young People’s Concerts presented annually by the Austin Symphony Orchestra reach more than 30,000 Central Texas fourth, fifth and sixth graders. These concerts are among the most innovative programs around for introducing young people to classical music. Through the use of modern technology, the audience gets an “up-close look” at the orchestra.

May 3 ::  AMB and the City Mom’s Night Out

From 7PM – 10PM, join Austin mamas at 800 Congress for an amazing night out! Expect swag, giveaways, food, alcohol, music, and all the usual fun we have at our events!

May 5 – 6:: Pecan Street Festival

The Pecan Street Festival is a free two-day arts festival. The festival attracts hundreds of local and national artisans offering original handcrafted creations in a variety of mediums, from metal, wood, fiber, clay, leather, glass and stone to repurposed materials of all kinds. It takes place in the Sixth Street Historic District between Brazos Street and Interstate 35. 

 May 11- 13 :: Peter Pan
 
Join a  trip to Neverland and the Austin premiere of Choreographer Paul Vasterling’s ballet about a boy who refuses to grow up. This action-packed, family-friendly production features all the characters you remember from J.M. Barrie’s novel, including the beautiful Wendy and her brothers, the villainous Captain Hook, a posse of Lost Boys, a man-eating crocodile, and the meddling Tinker Bell.

May 23 :: Blues on the Green

Each summer, KGSR hosts the longest running free concert series in Austin, Blues on the Green. Blues on the Green invites music lovers out to Zilker Park to enjoy a family and pet-friendly night of music in a comfortable atmosphere. Shows start at 8pm.
