Top Non-Profits In Austin For Moms

I live here, I give here. This statement is powerful, and it shows that we can make a difference with our money, time, and talent in the city we love so dearly. I’ve rounded up 12 of my favorite nonprofits for moms in Austin. I chose these because they have a clear mission and strong impact, and I have had a personal experience either volunteering with or donating to most of them as well.

If any of these speak to your personal values or interest, please help raise awareness by volunteering your time, donating to their cause, creating a fundraiser for an occasion (like your birthday!), or liking their Facebook page.

Any Baby Can

Any Baby Can is “helping parents raise healthy and happy children.” This Austin nonprofit services families through in-home therapy, medical case management, resource navigation, and family support services. It’s super easy (and fun) to donate to families in need through their wish list. The past two holidays, I’ve adopted a family through my work, and we purchased gifts, wrapped them, and dropped off at the center. I love this organization and their mission!

Austin Diaper Bank

Austin Diaper Bank is dedicated to helping families thrive by providing the basic necessities every child deserves, a steady supply of clean diapers, wipes, and personal hygiene products. They’re halfway to their goal of 700,000 diapers in 2018! You can donate diapers, money, or volunteer your time.

Mother’s Milk Bank

1 in 8 babies is born preterm and fewer than half of moms can provide them breast milk, which contains properties critical to brain development.

For nearly 20 years, Mother’s Milk Bank has been serving preterm and medically fragile babies across Texas and the US by providing pasteurized human milk to help them develop and thrive. You can become a milk donor in 4 easy steps.

CASA of Central Texas

You can make a difference in the life of a child. Become a Court Appointed Special Advocate to help a foster child find a permanent, safe home. Volunteers manage court cases, bringing a unique perspective and advocating on the child’s behalf. Learn more about what it takes to be a volunteer and for upcoming trainings.
