Special Addition Rocks My World!

I’m currently 9 months pregnant with my 3rd bambino. After struggling with several miscarriages and growing 3 humans, I’ve been pregnant for nearly 4 total years of my life. I don’t particularly love being pregnant; however, I do LOVE the end result and knowing that my body is being used for something more valuable than just cooking, cleaning, working, and drinking wine.

Even though pregnancy has always been very easy on me, having 2 sets of feet already on the ground to care for, has made this 3rd pregnancy more trying than the others.

I’m 100% sure that the maternity boutique, Special Addition is the BEST place to go whether you’re expecting, just had a baby, or are toting around a 3 year old. How I didn’t know about this place sooner is mind-blowing. I got SO MANY goodies the day I went into Special Addition, but I think the absolute best purchase was the maternity band, Belly Bandit, that offers support to this mama’s tired body!

I always thought that maternity belts were for back pain, larger bellies, or used for pelvic support. Since I’m tiny by nature pregnant or not, I just assumed that the suggested maternity band wouldn’t be something that I would enjoy. The moment my maternity consultant wrapped that thing on me, was the moment I was sent to maternity heaven. You don’t realize how much 20+ pounds can take a toll on your body, but having that instant relief was enough for me to say “SOLD”! Oh and did I mention that you can use this contraption for postpartum “shrinking” and “tightening” … YES, PLEASE SHRINK AND TIGHTEN ME AFTER BABY #3!!!!

Aside from my fantastic maternity band, I also scooped up some of the most adorable boutique”y” clothes and got the grand tour of all of the amazing services that Special Addition offers. Here are some of my favorite just to name a few!

• Lactation Consultant — I HIGHLY recommend a lactation consultant… they can truly make a difference in whether you make it or not… and if you don’t, there’s NO shame in that either and they will help you with that process too.
• Scale to Measure the Baby — Don’t want to wait until your next pediatrician visit to make sure your little one is gaining weight? Pop in… seriously, they don’t care and encourage it!
• Bra Fittings — Gotta make sure those girls have the right support. When your milk comes in, it’s a whole new ball game!
• Breast Pump — Either take your personal pump to be checked to ensure it’s working or rent one directly from Special Addition!
• CPR Classes
• Breastfeeding Basic Classes
• AND SO MUCH MORE!

Seriously, Special Addition absolutely has it all. It’s the one-stop shop for all things maternity and all things baby. And don’t let those maternity support bands fool you… as you can see in this picture, I’m wearing SKIN TIGHT clothes and you can’t see my band at all. It’s perfect for whether I’m around the house or out and about.
